Reflection and review

without comments

Yes, here I am attempting to write again after another long break. I’ve been feeling introspective and reflective the past few months, thinking about the first five month of this year, what have I done and I’m not really sure where to begin to sum it all up neatly in a package, put a red satin ribbon on it and say Adiós! Maybe my sister is right, time to reflect and review… :)

You’ve reached the end of 2009!

without comments

I’ve been completely unable to pull together a post. It’s lead me to seriously consider dropping the blog…
Perhaps I should just close this blog and concentrate on Flickrs only… since both need $ to maintain!

But I guess now that I’ve slowed down on my day to day journey, perhaps post will emerge soon! So, watch out for this space again! I’ll be right back :D

Broken Links

without comments

I’ve just removed my account from Photobucket! Ever since I’ve started using Flickr Pro account – I’ve never visited Photobucket and I tried login-in to the system yesterday. I think Photobucket changed too much – and it’s becoming too complicated to use them, so i decided to remove my account with them, which I’m quite gladly to do so.

However, once the account is removed, my photos (in some of these blog entries) will also be removed too – well, what to do! I think it’s okay…so if you encountered broken links – those are the links to the photos.

And I don’t think I will replace them…too much of hassle! :)

Sister bonding

with one comment

I’ve always enjoy my ‘ME’ time with my sister – she’s fun, funny, stingy (sometimes), good figure, mother of two adorable kids and on top of all – she’s my best pal where we share stupid jokes!

(Me and sis, at Book Fair KLCC)Sis and me

I still remembered the year she got married (about 8/9 years ago), our family had our ‘reunion dinner’ on the eve of Chinese New Year without her – because she have to be at her in-law house for their reunion dinner too. At that time,  I felt our ‘dinner’ was incomplete and I got angry at myself because she’s not there. But I know this is the ‘Chinese’ tradition and I can’t change that.
Well, I have to say “I’m really glad” that my hubby is not Chinese – otherwise, our reunion dinner on the eve of Chinese New Year 2010 will be a quiet one for my family.

Sis, if you are reading this! Just want to say that ‘I’m so glad that we are sisters’ :)

Fairtrade coffee

without comments

I think it’s a great idea to support Fairtrade industries whether it’s on cocoa, coffee or anything agriculture. I have decided to buy Fairtrade products (wherenever I can find them) in the local supermarket and I’m glad that the local store that I frequently visit, now bringing in more Fairtrade products.

Did you have your coffee this morning?  I have my Percol with milk and cane sugar! ;)

Percol fairtrade coffee

Fairtrade is about better prices, better working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. And this includes us Malaysia. Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade and discriminates the weakest producers. We want to see these farmers to have more control of their lives, their products and their income.
