Barack Obama: 44th US President
Finally, Barack Obama is the 44th US President, and the first African-American to reach the White House! I am quite excited with the news, especially when everyone is aching for a change. It also reminded me about our political situation in Malaysia after the 8 March elections. It may not be the same but it is still a huge changes for such a small country like us.
America electing a black man for President shown us that they has choosen a wise and intelligent person. The American has shown everyone in the world that they are ready for changes and hopefully the changes could bring the benefits to the rest of the world, especially with the current financial and economic crisis around the world. I do hope that Obama is capable in handling both internal and international problems. Well, at least he has a good 5 years to prove himself!
Recently, I have been following Patrick Moberg’s blog, and I found his illustration especially on the US Presidential election very hillarious. I wanted to share with you all.

Can’t really remember when was the last time I put up something in my blog! I’m just being lazy. I guess after all, it was quite a hectic two weeks for me. So many things to do, so many deadlines to meet and especially now, when we’re just entering second quarter of the financial year. Yup, my organisation is slightly different from many Malaysians’ companies.
I just want to put this special picture which is now pinned at my workstation. This group photo was taken by my dear ’Japanese’ colleague – it was the last day of our very intensive meeting/workshop that I’ve attended last week. We really enjoyed ourselves and I enjoyed working with them especially some of them whom I’ve known for a long time. They are such a lovely bunch of people and I have to say this!! Many of them are ‘korean drama freak’ too!!
If you are reading this, I just want to say “Good Luck with all the targets, results, deadlines, regional” - hahaha, you know what I meant here! (*wink wink*)

Hey guys, I’m working on my photo gallery for this blog. This is quite tricky for me because the theme that I choose for my blog doesn’t have any widgets ready for photo album and since I don’t want to pay to Flickrs to upgrade the account, so, I have to work slightly harder to get this application worked on my blog. Once this is successful, I will discontinue my Flickrs account!
Be patient and I will try to upload more photos soon…
Tan Hong Ming in Love
This is the simplest advertisement which won Silver Lotus for the Social Engagement category at the Asia-Pacific Advertising Festival which was held recently in Thailand. When I first saw this advertisement, it brings back those funny, witty and silly memories of my primary school time! Ahhh, what a wonderful memories! I still remembered that I was in a similar situation in this commercial, I like a boy (Malay boy) from the class next door! I was 10 years old then! It’s just so funny even just to think about it! I’m sure some of you share the same experience with me!
Check out the commercial in the Youtube below, “Tan Hong Ming in Love” – this commercial really touches my heart and I hope you all like it too! I really like the surprises on Tan Hong Ming’s face at the end of the commercial!
New Year’s Eve plans?
Well, Christmas is over now, therefore one more to go… Anyone have big New Year’s Eve plans? We thought of having BBQ nite but it seems that some can’t make it due to certain reasons… and I’m a bit lazy to do all the dish-washing…

Weekend
It was a nice weekend for both of us – sitting at home, doing nothing, cooking, eating, reading, watch tv, just enjoying the weekend….
But… when I watch the news last night – it seems the world is in a chaos while most Malaysian are enjoying their good weekend and some even unhappy that their weekend is about to end.
Natural disaster such as aftershocks occurred non-stop in Sumatra’s killing more people after the earthquake, typhoon Nari hits South Korea with at least six killed and many injured, flooding in India and Bangladesh still continues and many people died and have to move and our Penang, Kampung Baru flooded again during this Ramadhan. And in African countries, Ebola reappeared again.
And the worse was our neighbour country, Thailand where a budget airline crashed in Phuket killed 87 people.
All these news gave and make me sad – but it also tells me that I should cherish my life more… and I’m glad that everyone that I know including families and friends are in good conditions, and happily enjoying their weekend, just like you and me.

Looking for me? Well, I’ve moved to WordPress – hopefully this would be a good move. I am now at :

Malaysian Tourisms is currently promoting SPA tourism and I have to say, it’s quite successful (from my opinion) – even though this is one of a very new tourism side-product of this industry. Why would I say it’s quite successful…well, this week is workshop week and most of my counterparts cum friends are here in Malaysia and one of my task is to bring them around the city and try out the local food – as a host! And I’ve been bombarded with questions about where to get the best spa, massage, manicure and etc…most of them has seen Malaysian promotion about the tourist spa programme and really interested to join however there’s one problem. Unless they go out of the way from KL to the beach resorts, they won’t be able to see the sea, sand and beach ‘kinda’ spa or even just out of vicinity of Kuala Lumpur since their schedule are quite tight.
I managed to check the SPA packages around KL and I think these are the few nice one. I’m sharing this information here:

Discovered this place whilst driving around Damansara Heights, located within a private bungalow house and is owned by famous Malaysian diva, Sheila Majid. Ambience is very Balinese and outdoor shower is fantastic, most attractive treatments are the Lulur Javanese package which last for 2 hours.
