Proton Malaysia Open Super Series 2008
I was playing badminton (for fun) with friends and colleagues at KLRC last Saturday. It was a closed event and only invited guests are allowed at KLRC on that day, because they are organising a badminton matches between few international players from Russia, Korea, England, Taipei-China and Malaysian team.
I was lucky and had a good seat! I was seated right in front of the court and managed to capture quite a numbers of photos!
London 2012
Out of curiosity, I spent some time checking out the Olympics emblem. Well not really for knowledge but recently the organiser has just released the latest design for their London’s 2012 Olympic emblem. Can’t remember where I’ve seen it on the website – but it was like the whole thingy (from conceptualisations to delivery) of the emblem design cost approximately £400,000 [that is about RM2.8m :O]
How to describe the emblem? Well, I would say that ‘it’s very different’ from the previous emblems which I’ve seen since 1924 to now. The London 2012 jagged emblem comes in a series of shades which is pink, blue, green and orange. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw that emblem on the website. The first thing which comes to my mind was “Nightmares from the 80’s is coming back” Gosh!!! to me, I think it is so uncreative and arghh… I wish that they could have selected something else. :O

As for the rest of the Olympics emblems since Munich 1972 (the most controversial Olympic) to Beijing 2008 are attached below: [please compared the one from London above to the rest below, don't you agree with me?]
Go-Kart, City Karting, Shah Alam
I was invited to join the Go-Kart outing yesterday afternoon. It was held at City Karting, Shah Alam stadium. Unfortunately it rains in the morning and before the race, so the track was quite wet, but that means, it would be more challenging and exciting. The track overall was quite impressive, with digital timing & monitoring and it was slightly over 1 kilometre long. I’m thrilled! especially when they considered the safety of the racer too. All the tyres will be change each time the track is wet.

There are about 12 – 13 of us, and the format was a 5-lap warm up, followed by 3 to 4 laps of position placement and then later, followed by a 12-lap final. I think if we’re given a longer time, we might have 8-lap race then followed by 12-lap final. But I quite glad with the arrangement.
After the first 5-laps of warming up, everyone’s wet from top to bottom, front and back; and by the time we finishes our 12-lap, we are soaking in rain water – but it was fun.
I only managed to finish at 10 positions with my best time at 1 minute 45 seconds (1:45) to complete one lap and Ade secured 4th position.
Before we left the place, I saw a father and son team… check out the pictures!

A1 GP World Cup of Motorsport 2006
Where have I been the last week or so? Goodness knows, but I can tell you one thing – I have an exciting week especially yesterday.
We travelled to Nilai to meet up with KW & Regine and heading towards Sepang Circuit to watch the A1 GP World Cup of Motorsport, where Malaysia was represented by our ‘Alex Yoong’.
There are few times where his race car was at nearly hit by some other contestants, and also there are few times when Alex is trying to over-take the other contestants. That was the most exciting scenes. The Malaysian’s are cheering for him. I felt good because it shows the Malaysian’s spirits!
It was a good race although he only managed at 7th place. Overall, I’m quite happy with the results, at least Alex is showing us that he had tried his best.
This is my first time at Sepang Circuit, I’ve never been there as I’m not really a good fan of motorsport, however after this trip, I think I will try out the F1 race next year. It’s quite exciting. Sepang Circuit design, I would say…we can almost watch the race for 50%. Every seats available at Sepang are designed carefully in order to maximise the chances to watch the real race. Of course it wouldn’t be as good as watching in front of the TV, but the sounds from the racing car was really good, it’s very LOUD. Of course, I’m wearing the ear protection all the time, but still it is really LOUD.
Yesterday, we were quite lucky to have the Grand Stand seats – we’re facing the pit-stops, so we can see the real actions (hahaha)… and also; we’re covered from the rain. It was pouring hard before the race started. Everyone/audiences was cheering when the rains starts, that means more action (i think they are hoping there will be some crashes). Bad thoughts!! The race finished around 5pm. It was a fun day…
Dolce & Gabbana and the Italian Footballers
Dolce & Gabbana have wrangled five gorgeous Italian footballers to model their latest underwear in a new campaign for the Spring/Summer collection 2006:
They are Manuele Blasi, Gennaro Gattuso, Andrea Pirlo, Gianluca Zambrotta, Fabio Cannavaro.
If their names alone aren’t sexy enough, here they are in all their glory. I know why Naja loves the Italian team…

Who will win the World Cup?
I’m staying up late to watch today match between Argentina and Mexico. I’m hoping Argentina will win this match. The truth is I’ve been following these games from the beginning and ever since I understand what is ‘Off side’, who is ‘Kaka’, the footballers wives and girlfriend…the commentators, ASTRO… I think this year World Cup is the most memorable one.
My prediction
Winner : Brazil
Second: Argentina
Third: Germany (Dunno this will come true or not)…
Oh gosh…. this is a fxxking fast game – Mexico just scored one goal while I’m typing this …(Who is this number 4 from Mexico, it’s Marquez…anyhow this is indeed a beautiful goal from Mexico)
Oh yes! another goal in 1.5 minutes after this…..this time is Argentina, my favourite team. Hurrayyyyyyyy………
I’ve been following the World Cup 2006 FIFA forum hosted by Low Yat, you’ll be surprise, there are more to talk about apart from the goals, betting and footballers themselves. World Cup is about everthing!!
Among the topics are ”‘What do you eat while watching the game”, “Helped needed bcos gf doesnt allow to watch the game after midnight”, “Which is the funniest football related advertisement on TV” and guess what it’s Ronaldinho and the Breeze soap advert – where his voice has been dubbed with Malay and Chinese language.
Hahaaha….
Dont know who is Ronaldinho? He’s from Brazil and currently playing for FC, Barcelona. Quite high expectation on Brazil team for this World Cup, and he’s one of the top player. (Don’t you think both of them look alike?)
